1st Annual KGCC Masters

The innaugual KGCC Masters event is in the books and we would like to thank all 44 members who participated. The event started Saturday evening with wine, appies and a random draw for the professional partner picking order. Each participant choose a professional, whose Sunday score would be combined with their own net score. The hottest golfers and popular players went first – Jordan Spieth, Rory McIlroy, Dustin Johnson – and then others were steadily choosen. However, it didn’t take a top pick to walk away with the very first KGCC green jacket. Ross Lowndes picked second to last and chose Matthew Fitzpatrick. Who is that anyway? Well, he lit it up with a 67 and combined with Ross’ outstanding net 69 it was enough to capture the title. Congratulations Ross!

The event was a great success and will return to the member calendar for 2017. Look for a KGCC crest to be added to the coveted green jacket!
