Meet the Instructors

Brett Burgeson

Brett grew up as a golfer and hockey player just North of Edmonton in a town called Westlock. In 1991, Brett starting working as an Assistant Pro at the Carstairs Golf Club where he eventually was named the Head Pro and held that position for 8 years. From Carstairs he went to the Windermere GCC in Edmonton for 4 seasons, then to Country Hills GC in Calgary for the last 12 seasons.

He has worked with beginning players as well as experienced golfers and works within philosophy that your swing is unique to you.  Video has been a staple of Brett’s teaching approach over the past 15 years and his iPad travels where he does.  He uses a program called V-One, which allows the student to see what he/she is doing and the differences between old and new.

The short game has been an area Brett has focused on intently over the last 12 years, running  many short game classes and posting short game videos to YouTube. Brett’s methods with chipping and putting have helped many golfers improve their game where it matters most.  Brett is a qualified club fitter and has 16 years experience finding the best combination of equipment for each player.

Brett has a wealth of playing experience and Championship success, the highlights being:
