Meet the Instructors


Alec Hubert

Alec began his career at The Royal Ottawa Golf Club and was mentored by some of the National Capital Region’s best CPGA professionals. In 2011 he was awarded the Assistant Professional of the Year within the Ottawa Zone. Moving to Fairmont Hot Springs Resort in 2014, Alec continued
player. He won the Kootenay Pro Series Order of Merit and Tour Championships in both 2014 & 2015. Alec teaches students how to get the most out of their game so that they can enjoy their rounds and maintain control of the ball.

Lindsay MacDermott

Over the past 15 years Lindsay has been involved with numerous coaching and teaching opportunities including Provincial Coach with the BC Golf Association, Assistant National Coach with Golf Canada and recipient of the 2009 PGA of BC Junior Promoter of the Year Award. Her energetic style and simplicity take the intimidation out of learning to play golf and make it fun. It’s not about right and wrong, but right and left. She will help you find the swing that works for you.

Andrew Bentley

Andrew Bentley joined the PGA of Canada in 2017 and is an integral member of the junior lesson academy at KGCC.

Brice MacDermott

Brice started his golf career in 2001 and received his Class A Status within the PGA of Canada in 2008. He is a two-time PGA of BC award recipient, earning the 2007 Golf Shop of the Year and 2011 Professional Development Award. Brice was also the Golf Professional of the Year for the Interior Region in 2016 & 2011. Brice believes in sound fundamentals as the key to any long term success with the golf swing. With his fun, interactive approach, Brice likes to give his students more than just a lesson, a golf experience.
